Plaintains Eem Za'atar

So after I stuffed the okra into the garbage disposal (actually, to be fair, *that guy* did it for me because I couldn't bring myself to) I decided to make this plantain snack that I found a recipe for in a Moroccan cookbook. In the interest of not plagiarizing, I altered the recipe some.
It was so simple and was really good.
I cut a plantain into slices and fried it until it browned in some canola oil. Then I drained the slices on some paper towels. Then I tossed them in a bowl with kosher salt and za'atar.
As a side educational note, za'atar is this yummy goodness that is a middle eastern spice. If you want to read about it, you can do so here. It is good on eggs, in olive oil for dipping, or just eaten with a spoon. Ok, not actually a spoon. But it is some yummy goodness.
These were so quick and yummy and the only problem is how to dispose of the oil.
